The Brief

The French cosmetics and perfume company, Clarins, was occupying two non-consecutive floors within the same building and needed some extra space (>16,000 sq.ft) to accommodate part of its Hong Kong staff members who were joining forces with the Singapore team.

Clarins appointed Tenant CS to help them identify and secure a suitable new office. The company’s key requirement was to remain within the Orchard area, close to their retail operations. They also wanted to have all team members on one floor to promote collaboration and synergies between departments.

The Results

Despite the limited availability of buildings with large floor plates in the Orchard area, Tenant CS secured a single 16,000sq. ft. floor plate, previously home to L’Oreal Singapore. The new fully-fitted site is a mere 50 meters away from Somerset Station, which provides great access for both staff and clients.

Tenant CS also negotiated a significant rental reduction and a long-term lease. The modern fit-out also meant that Clarins did not have to invest in fit-out works at the new site.
