Are you a high-performing, client focused professional looking for a long-term career transition, not just your next role?
The Tenant CS Business Development Associate Program is designed for individuals who want to move into a consulting and advisory career in corporate real estate. You’ll join as part of a cohort, learning alongside other Associates at the same stage, supported by structured training, shared experiences, and close mentorship.
We’re growing our consulting team and are seeking commercially minded, self-driven individuals who value being part of an ego-free, collaborative environment. This is not a sink-or-swim sales role - it’s a deliberate pathway into consulting for people who want to build deep expertise over time.
You’ll leverage your existing sales or business development experience in a new industry, with guidance and support as you navigate the transition. While you’ll learn from experienced consultants and benefit from a strong training framework, success in the program will ultimately depend on your initiative, curiosity, and commitment to learning.
This is a cohort-based business development program.
You’ll start alongside a small group of Associates across Melbourne and Sydney, progressing through:
The cohort model is designed to accelerate learning, build strong peer support, and create consistency in how future consultants are developed at Tenant CS.
A Tenant Representative is a corporate real estate advisor dedicated to serving the interests of commercial tenants.
Tenant CS exclusively represent tenants in their real estate decisions - helping them secure, negotiate, and optimise their office or industrial portfolio, without conflicts of interest with landlords. In 2025 alone we saved our clients $57.2M, giving them an ROI of $16 for every $1 invested in us.
Independent and commission-neutral, we take the time to understand how a company operates, where it’s headed, and what truly matters to its people. From testing the full market to uncovering off-market, assignment, and sublease opportunities, we explore every viable option and cut through the noise to deliver practical, strategic advice. The result: real estate decisions that support long-term business success, not short-term wins.
As a Business Development Associate, you will be trained to become a Tenant Representative/ Commercial Leasing Consultant over time. You’ll support and learn the full client journey while building strong foundations in business development, market analysis, and advisory work.
During the early stages of the program, your focus will be on business development—securing client meetings, building relationships, and creating opportunities—while progressively gaining knowledge about commercial real estate and exposure to project delivery.
As you advance through the program, you’ll take on a greater responsibility in the project delivery. No two days (or projects) are the same, and you’ll collaborate closely with different consultants across the business while learning alongside your cohort.
Your responsibilities will evolve as you progress through the program.
Business Development (initially ~80%)
Project Delivery (initially ~20%, increasing over time)
Support Senior Consultants with:
As you progress through the program, the balance of responsibilities will shift towards the project delivery level of a Consultant.
You’re a born hustler - a strategic, commercially-minded problem solver who cares deeply about your clients’ success. You seek to understand how businesses actually operate and how thoughtful real-estate decisions can shape their future - not because it sounds good on paper, but because it genuinely creates value.
You put clients first, always, and never let commissions or self-interest get in the way of securing the best outcomes, even if it means asking the hard questions and challenging assumptions. You value independence, transparency, and trust, and believe that true advisory is about serving your client’s interests without compromise.
You’re comfortable working autonomously, yet thrive in a collaborative culture where ideas, wins, and lessons are shared openly. You stay hungry and curious, questioning everything and assuming nothing, always learning, adapting, and improving. While you take your work seriously, you keep things real, honest, clear (and fun!), because strong relationships and great outcomes are built on authenticity and open communication.
