The Role

Structure: Approx. 20-25 hours a week | 12-month contract (with potential to extend)

Hiring and supporting the right people is critical to our future. We’re seeking an experienced Talent Acquisition & People Specialist to help us find high-potential talent, deliver an exceptional hiring and onboarding experience, and bring fresh ideas to enhance how we support, develop, and retain great people.

This role blends the best of both worlds — a hands-on, delivery-focused position with the opportunity to engage strategically and influence how our people practices evolve over time. You’ll manage the recruitment process from sourcing to offer, while also working closely with our leadership team to refine onboarding and contribute to a strong, consistent employee experience.

You won't be starting from scratch — but you'll have the opportunity to build on our foundational people processes and make a meaningful impact as we scale.

You’ll report directly to the COO and play a key role in shaping how we grow our team and culture.

Key responsibilities

Talent Acquisition (Primary Focus - 70%)

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment processes, with a focus on growing our Tenant Advisory/Consulting team.
  • Partner with hiring managers to define role requirements, success profiles, and sourcing strategies.
  • Write and post engaging job advertisements that reflect our brand and values.
  • Source candidates through multiple channels — inbound applications, proactive outreach, and building talent pools.
  • Screen and interview candidates, providing an excellent candidate experience throughout.
  • Track and report on key recruitment metrics (e.g., time-to-hire, source effectiveness).
  • Recommend ongoing improvements to our sourcing, selection, and hiring processes.

Onboarding & Early Success Support (Secondary Focus 20%)

  • Work with the administrative team to coordinate and manage onboarding activities to ensure a smooth and professional new hire experience (pre-start, first-day, and beyond).
  • Partner with managers to refine and evolve onboarding plans that go beyond logistics — incorporating clear goals, structured training, regular feedback, and performance milestones to drive early engagement, performance, and retention.
  • Support managers in identifying and addressing early performance risks thoughtfully and proactively.

People & Culture (Ad-hoc Support - 10%)

  • Contribute ideas for enhancing our broader employee experience, aligned with our Great Place to Work® culture.
  • Support occasional people projects as needed (e.g., onboarding surveys, employee engagement initiatives).

About You

Our ideal candidate will be:

  • 5–7+ years of recruitment experience, ideally within high performing, start up cultures. Experience in B2B sales, professional services, consulting, or similar industries is beneficial, but not required.
  • Proven success managing full-cycle recruitment, including proactive sourcing for hard-to-fill or specialist roles.
  • Experience enhancing onboarding programs to support early-stage success and retention.
  • Strategic thinker with strong execution skills — able to balance doing the work with identifying opportunities for improvement.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — professional, approachable, and committed to a positive employee experience.
  • Creative problem-solver who enjoys thinking differently about attracting and supporting talent.
  • Highly organised, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities.
  • Genuine passion for helping people succeed and contributing to a strong, positive team culture.
